God's Word - The needed lenses!

The Bible is God's Word. It is God breathed written work of 40 authors across 1500 years as a collection of 66 books.

It has the progressive self-revelation of God, His Nature, Characteristics, Ways, Love and gracious Redemption, His purpose of His children, covering the history right from the beginning of the creation and shows forth how a glorious new creation is going to take over in the end.

For it is a Progressive Revelation, neglecting any part of the whole can easily distort the view about God.

God is unchanging, so are His Characteristics and His Principles that He laid out for His Children.

For His Children, to do His Will, ought to wholistically understand God’s Word to be able to carry out fully according to the principles He laid out.

Those who neglect God’s Progressive Revelation, and His Unchanging Principles, tend to narrowly draw from His Word a distorted view of His Will ignorantly or even deliberately, grossly neglecting the Historical Context and its Literary aspects.

Knowing the entirety of His Word with the help of His Holy Spirit and understanding His wholistic Principles alone can enable us do His Will.

Our Daily study of God’s Word with the help of the Holy Spirit ought to be just a reminder of His Nature, His Ways and His Principles for all of them are unchanging. It is never meant to draw novelty each time!

Rightly applying the wide range of principles to changing times and circumstances needs the help of the Holy Spirit.

With such lenses towards understanding God's Word, let us understand that the claims people around us often make are not wholistically Biblical.
